So you want to be a Network Marketer? Have you looked at the facts?

So you want to be a network marketer? Have you really thought this through? Why don't we examine the facts and see if you still think it is a good idea?

So lets start with the job pros and cons.

Job Pros:
Steady income.
Possible 401k or retirement plan.
Possible quarterly, semi-annual, annual raises.
Christmas/ holiday bonus.
Employment security.
Health Insurance.
2-3 weeks paid vacation every year.
The relationships with the people you work with.
There may be other pros but these are the ones that come to mind.

Job Cons:
Income is usually fixed (even in a commission job).
Raises are not guaranteed. And in tough times may be frozen.
Office politics.
Bonuses can be eliminated or postponed until "things get better".
Employment security, once a big point is now a thing of the past.
Paid vacation, but if something comes up you may have to cancel your plans. Company first.
Insurance. Is a job worth health insurance?

Network Marketing pros:
Make your own hours. Work when you want to.
Meet and develop relationships with really neat and unique individuals.
Have your own business.
Have tax write offs.
Earn what you are worth. The sky is the limit.
You can start part-time and build your business until you replace the income from your job.
Help other people become free from their jobs.
No Boss! This is a big one for me.
Have time for your family and friends.
Have more money to donate to causes that are dear to your heart.
Time Freedom.
Residual Income!
There are more but these are the ones that come to mind.

Network Marketing cons:
You have to pay for your own insurance, although as a business expense it is probably deductible.
You have to work, but in a job you have to work also.
No paid vacation, but if your business is built right you have income coming in whether you are working it hard or on vacation.
no retirement package. (see above)
There may be some other cons but these are the ones that come to mind.

Well I made up my mind a while ago. I know I made the right choice and am sure you did also.

DON'T GET "SUCKED" IN! Beware! MLM Vampires are everwhere searching for their next victim. Will it be you? They disguise themselves well by posing as your friend or family member, neighbour or the "nice" guy that bought your coffee at Tim Hortons. First, these Vampires suck you in, then they suck your wallet dry, and finally, they manage to suck the life right out of YOU! These Bloodsuckers go by another name, as well - they are called Recruiters and will stop at nothing to SIGN PEOPLE UP!!! They have no interest or intention of "teaching " people the Business that they are in. YOU have a price tag on your head and they want to cash in on it! Now to be fair, I must say that these Vampires are just doing what THEY themselves have been taught to do by THEIR Sponsors. Personally, though, I can't help wonder if these people have any integrity at all because they can't ALL be unintelligent, can they? These Recruiters are the "Worker Bees" that keep the rich Vampires of the Company happy. The more victims they recruit, the more Bonus money they receive. Some MLM Companies encourage this behaviour because they don't care HOW they are getting rich - only that they are making huge amounts of money! Unfortunately, it's these type of people that truly damage the reputation of legitimate Multi Level Marketing Businesses. There are excellent ones out there but you have to know what to look for. Don't be lead by your emotions because that is exactly what these Bloodsuckers are counting on! Think and do some research on the Company. Take your time and do it right. Is Your Sponsor a Dope? Or is She just Smoking It?

IS YOUR MLM SPONSOR A "DOPE"?
OR IS SHE JUST SMOKIN' IT?!!!

True story! At the end of April of this year, a close friend approached me with a " Home Based Business Opportunity" that
she was introduced to by a long time friend. Naturally she wanted me to be the first person to share it with, so I agreed to look at it. My
friend has known this woman for years and completely trusted her and the information she provided on this "incredible
opportunity".
With tales of "I make more in a month than you do in a year" and "I've only been at this business for ten months" , along
with "I'll build your team for you - I went to Regional in two days!" we signed up immediately!!!
We were Business Owners! WOW! All we needed were three people, right? .....Not exactly.....We followed the rules and made
phonecalls, presented to anybody we could corner, tried to get people to meetings (even going as far as picking them up
and driving them there like prisoners!!), unwittingly telling people the same "lies " our Sponsor told us! We took a course
because we were going to be "Leaders in our region." We quit our jobs! (Got to have time to build our fortune, right?
Besides, even our husbands would be retired by the end of August!)
Our "Sponsor" would come to town and then stay at our homes. Harmless enough, after all, this woman was our Mentor!
Now I try not to be judgemental of other people, and what you do in the privacy of your own home is entirely up to you,
but when this woman started each morning with a big fat joint (and continued smoking pot throughout the day!), I was
NOT impressed! Was this woman stoned when she was giving presentations? When she signed people up? To add
insult to injury, she brought her two little dogs with her that proceeded to use my house as their personal bathroom! (I
changed the name of the breed from Pappilons to Crappilons!)
Needless to say, I was choked, and by this point I had lost all respect for this woman and I began questioning the whole
situation. She even had the nerve to invite other Reps to stay at my house when they were passing through without asking
me!!
Then my girlfriend and I noticed that our friends were'nt even signed up under us! (Our "Sponsor" had entered them into
the system and leveraged them for herself, of course, at $250.00 a pop!)
By this time we are feeling like we are duping people with these recruiting methods and why were we trying to "get people
into the business" when they were'nt even looking for one in the first place?!!!!
SOOOO.... the next logical step was "THE NET"! YEAH- that's the ticket - we will find people who want to be in a Home
Based Business on the internet!!! Problem solved, right?.......Again, not exactly......The internet is a remarkable and
valuable tool, but it is akin to the ocean - tons of Predators and an unlimited supply of Prey!!! (Can you guess which
category new people to this industry fall into?!! )
I have to tell you that my little "fins" have been nibbled on considerably by some sharks BUT I am still swimming!
I could have saved myself a lot of time and money (which,by the way, I am in the process of putting these 100% Money
Back Guarantees to the test!!) if I had only found Mentoring For Free first! At first it was a hard concept to swallow -
"what do you mean FOR FREE?", but that is exactly what these people do. They help you and guide you....for free!

Does this sound familiar? Your good friend calls you up and is so excited that she can hardly get the words out fast enough! She tells you about this "INCREDIBLE" business opportunity that SHE has just been introduced to by her GOOD friend that she has known for years and TRUSTS completely! Now, because YOU trust THIS person you agree to attend a Presentation with her.

The meeting is fantastic, the energy is high and all the right words are thrown around - "ground floor", "excellent products", "unlimited amounts of money", "growth potential", "all you need to do is know 3 people", "We will train you", etc., etc., etc. Everyone is pumped and best of all, the start up cost is very small....

You're excited! You sign up! You are a "Business Owner"! You fell for the "Bait" and they "Hooked" you! But you don't realize that, just yet, because you KNOW that you are going to be making as much as your Sponsor is, in a couple of months. She promised that she was going to "get you to the money making level"! You trust her - after all, she IS your Sponsor and Mentor, right?

So you do everything she tells you to do - make a list of 150 people and start calling them! You manage to snag a few of your close friends to join up but that's it.Your Sponsor pats you on the back and tells you to keep up the GOOD work! But it's not working.....people are not interested....people say they will phone you back and never do...people hang up on you....Your Sponsor tells you " Don't worry - a "NO" is a good thing - it's just getting you closer to a "YES"!!!!!!!!!!

By now you are re-thinking this whole procedure because you still don't have the Downline that your Sponsor was going to help you build. You are still 3 people away from that money making level! Your friend (that introduced you to the Business) is 2 people away. Between you both there is 10 people on your "team" and nobody is making anything!

Wait a minute! That's not true. SOMEBODY made some money! Your Sponsor/Mentor ( who is on the "money making level") made about $425.00 a head! That's right, she now has $4,250.00 in her pocket!!! And where is she? She has moved on to another town where the " Fish" are plentiful!

You, my friend, have just been "Gutted" and left to "Rot"!!! Along with your friends.............

Not all MLM Businesses are like this! There are some excellent opportunities as well as the "Fishy" ones! What people need to do is educate themseves BEFORE jumping into any MLM "Pond"! That education is FREE for the taking if you know where to look. People need to do their homework to avoid being "Caught" by the those "Fishermen"! There are some terrific people out there that will gladly Mentor you for free - I know because I have met them and work with them - and you can too!

I have been reading a few articles and blogs and I have seen comments that Mentoring For Free,
and Michael Dlouhy have an Agenda. One, other than Helping people build their business.

Well Mentoring For Free is a way of meeting other network marketers. Just like the Affiliate programs out there except Mentoring For Free is just that FREE. When I purchased Magnetic Sponsoring it was to attract like minded people, networkers, and help them become better networkers and like the book Magnetic Sponsoring says, they may ask me if they can join me.
I have not joined or paid for any other systems but I assume they all offer to help you build your business, and if you are looking for a business, you can ask if you can join the affiliates opportunity. One Huge difference between MFF and the other affiliates is MFF doesn't charge for training. NADA. NOTHING. And like the Affiliates you can be in ANY COMPANY and use MFF to build your network. You may say well the affiliates let you offset your advertising cost. Yeah, I guess they do, but it seems like some people make their living on affiliate program sales. The other thing is there is always one more thing to buy or another seminar to attend that will finally get you to the promised land, for a fee. MFF is just as comprehensive, if not more, in training on personalities, advertising, blog writing, e-mail campaigns, and inner development. And ANYONE
can access this training for FREE. There will be no pressure for you to join any company!

MFF does tell you to look at your company and the 5 Pillars. Is that bad? Newbie or old timer, shouldn't you be able to look at your company or a company you may join and have the tools necessary to analyze if it is a company you wish to be involved with for the rest of your life?

If you were looking for a job and the president of the company you were thinking about going to work for had been indicted for robing his last companies pensions, would you have concerns?
If they said we can fire you any time for anything no matter what, how would you feel?

If they told you when you were hired that if you failed to show up for work for any reason they
can fire you, would you think that fair. If they said even if you have been here for two years and get sick, sick enough to go to the hospital for a month or two, we can fire you with out further compensation or severance package. Would you still take the job? How much loyalty would you have for this company?

I am not going to go into pay plans at jobs. That's one reason we are all in Network Marketing.
If they improve the pay plan at my job one more time I will scream! Every time they improve it I work more and get less.

Training. An easy duplicateable system. I have been in Car sales for 28 years and it is just certain steps and you will sell a car. But I have seen many stores just hire people and say "ok, go
follow this guy, and watch him sell cars. Then tomorrow you will sell cars! " And if they last for a month or two they are fired because they don't get it. Without ongoing training how could they?

A great product is also a pillar , but I am giving all companies that.

But back to MFF and their agenda. I am in MFF and my agenda is to help as many people become free as possible. I do not care what company you are in! I do not care if it takes 100
or 20000 people to earn $10000.00 a month residual income from your opportunity. If you are ok with it I am okay with it. But at least you know the truth. I will help you reach your goal. The Chicago Cubs and Network Marketing. What do they have in common?

The Chicago Cubs are one of the oldest teams in baseball. They are also one of the most loved teams in baseball, maybe all of sports. I grew up in Chicago and watched the Cubs play on TV every afternoon or during the summer I would go with my brother and friends and see the game live. Wrigley Field is the Best! I remember the Summer of 1969. What a heart breaker! But I still love my Cubs. Always will!

Network marketing and the Cubs, how are they alike you may ask? The Cubs are in a 100 year drought. They have not won the World Series for 100 years! That is a long time! How long have you been building your business? I know, not 100 years, but sometimes does it feel like 100 years? Well here are some points that many people have found to be beneficial in building a strong and profitable business.

The Cubs have gone through several Management changes over the years. But each time they hire a new manager the powers that be check him out completely. What has he done in the past? Is he a person of integrity? And they interview him a few times to see if they like him and he likes them. So far for the Cubs this hasn’t put them over the top yet, but I have faith they are doing the right things to succeed. Have you checked out your prospective business or your business, as diligently? Did you research the Management experience and integrity? Do they stand up to intense scrutiny?

The Cubs have had many players throughout the years. Some were and are very good and some not so very good. Management and coaching can overcome some deficiencies for a while but not for a prolonged length of time. Some were paid fairly and some were grossly overpaid! Are your products priced fairly? Are they great products? Will they stand the test of time?

Different teams have different systems they employ to win. One Cub team was a hit and run team, while another is a long ball hitting team. Some teams have great pitching and others have fantastic fielders. I love the Cubs, but do not know enough about baseball to tell you all the strategies that are employed by each coach and team. But they do have strategies and they use them everyday. Are you using a system in your business? Do you use it everyday? Is it focused? Are you? Is it something that a beginner in your business can learn quickly and easily?

Now you may say why compare network marketing to the Cubs. You may be very successful and prefer to be compared to the New York Yankees. Ok. But 97 % of networkers have a hard time making any money. My beloved team has a hard time getting over the top also. I do not have the answer for the Cubs, but I do believe that I can help you. Do You Sabotage your Desires?

Do you sabotage your Desires? Have you written down your goals? Are you tracking the results?

We all have goals and desires in life. But just wanting something and achieving it are two different animals. Although I believe you can envision future events in your life, they do not happen simply because you envisioned them. There is a required action.

Which brings me to the sabotage part. Napoleon Hill writes that Our only limitations are those that we set up in our own mind! Think about that statement. All of our lives we are told what we can and cannot do. Mom and Dad. Teachers in school. Employers and friends.

As time goes on in our lives we no longer strive for more but we settle for less. Because what we have been taught that we can't do that. To quote Ebenezer Scrooge "Bah Humbug".

If you have a Burning Desire for something and Put it in writing. Put a date on when you will acquire your goal. Read it with Passion everyday! Before you go to bed and at once when you awaken. Reprogram your mind. Take the limitations out of your computer. Become the Can do Kid! Also, before you retire each night, envision your desire, feel it, smell it, taste it, and claim it! It is yours! You expect it! It is not important that you have the exact plan to reach the end, but it is important to do these steps. The path to your desire will appear. You have put out a call to it! Keep alert. It is coming!

Mentoring For Free is a Scam!

That is what someone said to me the other day. Got me thinking. If it is a scam then it should be exposed!

MFF is founded by Michael Dlouhy. I have Googled Michael Dlouhy's name and put the word scam by him and found nothing derogatory about Michael. That is a good sign.

The successful network marketer's use attraction marketing as a way to generate leads. Mentoring For Free uses the Free e-book Success in Ten Steps to generate leads. So if that makes MFF a scam then are all the affiliate marketing programs(Magnetic sponsoring, Spiderweb Marketing, Renegade Marketing, Carbon Copy Pro to name a few) also scams? In a word no. If you have checked any of these programs out I am sure you have found that they offer a system of generating leads that will/may join you in your Network Marketing Opportunity. No sign of scam here.

MFF host ten Free training calls each week, and No products or Companies are mentioned on these calls. They only focus on the skills necessary to make you a better networker. Can't see a scam here.

Mentoring For Free also has a huge library of recorded training calls that members can access and share with people who have questions regarding, Pay per Click, Google ad words, or blog writing and posting for maximum exposure. If you have a question on building your business it is answered by someone who has done it and now explains how you can do it. You can also access the person who did it and they are willing to give you their time. But it is still free. I am not the sharpest knife in the draw but I still don't see a scam here.

Is everything free? No. I pay for the e-book to be branded in my name. $20 a month. I have a back office to track my progress. I have 8 websites that I can send people to to capture their information.

Did I have to join MFF to learn from Michael and all the other great coaches in Mentoring For Free? No! But after listening to the free information, that was made available to me, I found that it was a great organization. They would help me grow MY business. MFF even showed me how to anilyze a company by reading the Policy and Procedure manual. Have you read yours? Don't feel bad if you haven't. Many don't. It's just the Legal contract between you and the company. I never read one before and have been in three different companies. Sill no Scam here.

Mentoring for Free also has taught about the personality colors. How to identify what type of personality you are talking with, so when you talk you are speaking Their language. Free again!
No scam.

If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me what Network Marketing company I am in I would be able to retire. Okay, that is an exaggeration. But often on coaching calls I am asked what company I am in and I tell them I am looking to help them build their business. Because I am.
That is what I have been taught. It makes perfect sense. If you help enough people get what they want then you will be rewarded in the end. I think Zig Ziglar said that. Still not seeing a scam.

Well then what is the deal? How do I get paid? Many of the other "attraction marketing" companies allow you to sell their program and get paid after someone purchases the system. This allows them to earn while the build. I felt that the information in MFF was greater than what I heard in the sales pitches on their capture pages. And Found that buying another program to compliment the last one was just a little out of my budget. Was I working to create an extra income or find another expense? But the Number one reason I went with Mentoring For Free is Micheal Dlouhy.
He has many , many friends. And a few people who don't like him. But I challenge anyone to call Michael a Liar, Crook, Scammer, Cheat, Dishonest, or any other derogatory word or phrase. It will not stick! He is the definition of a Servant. He wants to help people. He teaches you How to think, Not what to think. There is no Scam here. Just good people following the lead of a Big Hearted man helping as many people as they can , become free.

Are you doing this for Fun? Or, were you hoping to earn a living?

Just was driving home and thinking about why I am in my business. To earn a living of course.
I assume that is why you are also a Network Marketer. It doesn't have to be $100000 a month but it can be. The bottom line is we all want to earn something for our efforts.

My first question is "How many people do you need to earn $5000 residual income per month?"

Please don't tell me about the fast start training extra package superstar team leader volume override bonus. Just look at the numbers. X amount of people, using how many $ of product, equal $5000 residual income per month.

If that number is over 200 we should talk. Unless you like working harder to earn money, you need to get the facts. Download this Free E-book and find out that your extra work is not your fault. I will be happy to help you figure out how many people you need to earn $5000 a month in residual income. But are you willing to look at the facts?

That brings us back to are you in this business for fun or money? I spoke with someone the other day and their company requires 4000 people buying product each month in order for them to generate a check for $10000 a month. Divide that by ten and I think you have a more reasonable number. There are many companies that you can earn a decent income with out having to involve half of New York City. Have you read your Policy and Procedures Document?

Have you read your Policy and Procedures Document?

Well if you have not then you BETTER! The Policy and Procedure document is you Legal contract with your company. When you join a company it is not constitutional law. It is Contract Law. Your contract is the law between you and your company!

I was helping a gentleman a week ago and asked him if he read his P & P? He said he read the distributor agreement but wasn't sure what the P & P was. Well I read his Distributor agreement and before you sign in bold letters it says that you have been supplied with a copy of the P & P and by signing agree with them 100%. When I told him that he said Oh I don't think I have seen them. Well he called me back and had found them. After we read them I re-read the section on Renewal to him. I am paraphrasing but it said The company can decide not to renew a distributor for any reason. Now where I come from that is a huge red flag. ANY REASON.
My friend said he would do some checking and called me a few days later and said he spoke with The Company's Lawyer and it was explained to him. Now I am not a rocket scientist but do you think the company lawyer has any reason to _ _ _ ?(you fill in the three letter word that starts with L and rhymes with why) I just said if you work 5 or 6 years and build a big business and decide to retire and just live of the residual income, what happens if the decide not to renew your distributorship?

Another friend asked me for help and when we read his P & P, we found that if he ceases to actively sponsor distributors in a given month he will not qualify for a check and if he misses sponsoring in three or four months ( don't have the doc. in my possession) in a row he may be terminated. And the company is so bold as to say that they will decide each incident on a case by case basis. And although similar, some cases may be decided differently at the discretion of the company. I don't have the exact legal language in front of me , but you get the idea. How do you retire from this company?

I know that there are more companies out there that have some hidden loopholes in their P & P. And there are some companies out there that are great companies to be in. The reason I wrote this article is to remind you that if you haven't read you Policy and Procedure Manual then there is no time like the present. Don't build a business and find out that they have changed the deal. These words and documents are Not boilerplate. Don't be fooled.

Is Network Marketing a Viable alternative to the 9 to 5?

Is Network Marketing a Viable alternative to the 9 to 5 job? In the 9 to 5 have a 401k and I get paid for my time spent at the job. When I take time off I get paid Vacation time or personal time.
I have the Security of employment. I can plot my financial future knowing within a few dollars where I am going to be. I know where I have to be in the morning and what I am expected to do
for my company. There is a solid sense of purpose in my life.

In Network Marketing I have to recruit people to join and or sell products to earn an income. In Network Marketing there may not be a clear set of rules. What works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Plus it is a network business so I must network with people.
If I do not do the above I do not earn any money. It is hard to plan ahead without a steady income.

OK, you say that the job thing is not perfect. I agree. There are layoffs. Some jobs cut back on the hours per employee so they could avoid layoffs. Still, that is less money coming home. I think we all have heard the joke of the 401k that is now a 201k! The financial horizon is no longer predictable. The boss sometimes is not as pleasant as we would like. And we can't always get the time off that we want. Oh, and we sometimes put in extra hours just to make a living. I have to admit I am working for someone Else's dream!

As far as network marketing goes, it does offer you the freedom to work when you want. And you are the boss, it is your dream! The earning potential in the right vehicle is far greater than a job. There are no layoffs. And residual income will pay you, and your children, and your children's children. A job won't do that! If tomorrow is Thursday and my kids want to go to the beach I can take my office with me. A laptop and a phone. I doubt my boss probably would give me the time off on such short notice. How nice would it be to set my own hours. I believe that Network Marketing offers greater rewards than the 9 to 5. If you want more in life you have to step outside of your comfort zone and strive for more. I can learn how to recruit a few people in a Network Marketing business. And I can learn how to offer people, some great products that will not only help them but will also help me. So, my answer is yes, Network Marketing is a viable alternative to the 9 to 5.

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Well It is the 17th of March and The Wearin o the Green is Upon us!

St Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. Before Patrick was a priest converting the Irish to Catholicism He was a Shepard who had been kidnapped from England and brought to Ireland. He escaped and returned as a priest. The rest is history.

But today, We wear green and drink green beer. And lets not forget that we go to the St Patrick's Day Parade! Well, the first parade was actually in Boston in 1737. Not Ireland. The largest St Patrick Days Parade is in New York City. It began in 1762.

As more and more Irish came over to America the holiday Grew and grew. Now Everybody is Irish on March 17th!

Some Sunday Fun!

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal they resumed their trip. Unknowingly, the woman left her glasses on the table, and didn't miss them until they had been driving for about twenty minutes. By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance to find a spot to turn around.

All the way back, the husband fussed and complained and scolded his wife. As she got out of the car and hurried to get her glasses, he yelled to her "While your in their you might as well get my hat and credit card!"

Today in Mass the thought for the week was very good so I wanted to share it with you.

I paraphrase. "This week I will speak no negative about anyone. If I hear negative about someone I will not listen!" A good philosophy!

Driving Home in the rain!

Thursday 2-26-09

I left the house today and it was sunny outside. For some reason I still brought my golashes with me. I have ruined so many pairs of shoes that I said as everything melts I am not ruining my shoes today!

I get a call from a customer and he wants to buy an Element he has seen on Cars.com. Great. He is on his way in. It starts to rain. I am glad I have the rubbers. And an umbrella!

He and his lovely wife are newly pregnant and need a bigger car. What nice people. Thank you God! They purchased a good car at a very good price and seemed happy.

The rest of the day is Rain! I drive home in the pouring Rain. It was raining buckets! Thank God it was not snow!

That's my story for today!

Network Marketing, Experts, Amateur's, and Me!

We all receive countless e-mails that tell us if we follow "their simple plan and leadership we will be successful like them! In 5, maybe 10 days. Okay, I am exaggerating. It may take a month! I have to ask, Am I stupid, or do I lack the talent to accomplish these simple tasks that others seem to find so easy? Or are they fabricating the story ? Have they "gilded the Lilly"? These "Experts" also always talk about how they have built the largest or fastest organization in their Network Marketing company.

When I get these e-mails I just wonder why are these "Experts" so willing to help me? For Money! Duh! Then I sit and think in my naive way, if they are so successful why do they need my measly $39.95, $49.95, $59.95 ...? If they are so great at what they do, and are building a network marketing business, why haven't they given all this information to the people in their downline? Is everyone in their downline experiencing the same astronomical growth? If Network Marketing is a relationship business, as I believe it is, does your downline have this program available to them? These people are in "Your" business and are, I assume, your friends. If they succeed your business increases, Right? So helping them succeed is why they should have this "super Fantastic Lead generating tool" in their arsenal. Do they? I guess I should ask if you are selling the program to them.

This is not an indictment on anyone! If you are sending out these advertisements great! I only want to share my thoughts. Please feel free to leave comments.

I just think about the people who give back to the industry. Tom "Big AL" Schreiter, Michael Dlouhy two of my mentors. they are both extremely successful. If I met either on the street and asked them a question on building a Network Marketing Business, I will bet that I would get more free information in a few minutes than most of these so called "Experts" sell in 3 or 4 programs! Why? Because they know that this is a relationship business. Not numbers. Not sell leads and systems to people. Just develop relationships. I am on a mental cleanse call every Wednesday and we read and comment on a chapter of the book "How to Think and Grow Rich"by Napolean Hill. I have learned more about myself through this process than anything I have done before in my life. My cost for this program? Zero! I have been able to clear much of the static in my brain. There is still alot of clutter but I am a work in progress! The reason for this exercise is to help people! Michael Dlouhy doesn't need to do a mental cleanse. If he wanted to he could sit at home with his wife and do what ever they want to do! They could probably charge a fee for the Mental Cleanse. People who have been on it would agree I am sure. People helping people. That is what Networking is about.

If you are building a Network Marketing business and would like help look no farther. If you are willing to give me no money, Zero, Nada I may be able to help you. You must also be coachable.
Am I an expert? No, I told you I am a work in progress. I do have two Mentors that know more about Network Marketing than most and as much as anyone in the industry. And they charge the same for their services. If you would like to develop a friendship with a fellow networker I am always looking to expand my horizons. Helping People who need Help!

I am not sure why but it seems like there are more people in need today than there were a few years ago. Now it may just be my perception. If you are a Network Marketer you might ask me for help.

Lately I have spoken to quite a few people who really need my help. They were laid off, or bills are getting bigger, or they are working less hours. The bottom line is they have turned to Network Marketing for an income. Some for maybe $100.00 or $200.00 a month extra. Some for $5000.00 or $6000.00 I offer all the help I can.

What really frosts me is when I hear the name of some of the companies they are in and I know that their chances are slim to none for success. I know that I cannot judge anyone, but I also believe that when we meet our Maker he won't be convinced by any trick phrases. He already knows what and how certain people have preyed on others for their own gain.

I told you it is my job to help people. Do I get paid? No. But when I help someone and they thank me I feel warm inside. And out of 10 people who ask me for help 2 or 3 may be looking for an opportunity. If we get along and like each other we may go in business together. Maybe not. either way I will help them pick a great opportunity that has their success in the cards. A 5 Pillar company! And I will help them build their business. The other 7 or 8 people I will also help. I supply them with the tools necessary to analyze a business. I teach them how to gather their own leads for free or very low cost. I also hold their hand when they need hand holding or hug them when the need a hug. I am their friend!

The Brain and What it can Do!

The brain is so powerful that we use only a small part of it to live our lives. I am unsure what percent of this computer that we use but I could google it if it was important. Suffice to say we do not use all of the brain. This is a quick story of how I have employed a function of the brain and of how someone told me of his brain power.

The first is related to my car sales career. I will ask people that I have met possibly 2-3 hours ago to spend more money than they may have ever spent before, or the second highest amount they have spent. Cars are expensive. The customers that buy from me have to feel a sense of trust or I do not believe they would spend one dime. Back to the brain. After I ask a person to purchase the vehicle I remain silent. The whole time in my mind I am sending the thoughts "Buy The Car" out over and over again! I will not say that it works always but I sell quite a few cars. I believe that these waves are received and help the people I deal with make a decision.

Second story. I am having breakfast with my son who is in college and works as a waiter on weekends at a local pub/restaurant. He tells me that his tips on Friday are greater than Saturday. Because he is in a pumped up / excited state. Friday he works as a delivery person from 11 am to 4 pm then at 5 he waits tables until 11 pm. Long day I know. He tells me he drinks Coke or Pepsi when he is working and is on a caffeine high. The bottom line is his brain is moving at a quicker pace. The positive energy that he is emitting is being received by his customers. These positive thought waves result in better tips for my son. He doesn't understand this , nor have I shared it with him. He just told me about this in our conversation.

The Brain is more powerful than we can even comprehend!

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics). She said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening

Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die; they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally. He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE

Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S * Ask the individual to SMILE.

T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency numberimmediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other , that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

MLM Success is Easy?

Yeah right! How can I say MLM Success is Easy? I guess the word easy is wrong . It should say simple. The process for success is easy. But walking into the bank is easy. Asking the banker for a million dollar loan might be a little hard!

So I would rather ask for a little bit each day. Maybe ten dollars or one hundred dollars. Then after a few weeks I am a little closer to my goal of one million! That's why I say Network Marketing Success is easy. Every day you do one or two things for your business. after one week you have done seven to fourteen things in your business. After a month you have twenty-eight to fifty-six things going on in your business! All that activity, easy as it is, will make things happen in your business.

Here is is one problem that we must avoid. Just because you have done fifty-six things in your business does not mean that you will automatically have results. What you did today may not have any value in your business for one, five, ten , or twenty months. Or it may result in nothing! That's ok because if you do nothing you are guaranteed nothing will happen. And when you think about it you just did one or two things in your business today.

That is why I say it is Easy! Do a little each day and then you will have the success you so richly Deserve!

I am always trying to improve myself and my lot in life. Just like all of you.
I read books, watch motivational videos, and listen to motivational and inspirational
audios. I strive to get and be better!

I have searched and found many free "gifts" on the web that has only required me to
give my information. Then I am able to read or view a book /video on a subject that I am interested in. Good deal! Many of these sites then tell me I can subscribe to their all informative
newsletter or buy an additional program to teach me the next step in the process. At that point i can make a decision. The marketer who has given me the free book/video/audio has "paid " for the opportunity to offer me more product. I am ok with that because I can decide if I can or will spend additional money.

One day I downloaded a free "gift" and it has truly changed the way I look at Network Marketing.
It has also helped me in how I approach many situations in life through some of the "extra" offers that I were introduced to me. I am not saying that the system I have found is for everyone but it has truly helped me. I have learned to focus my attention to what is important to me and my business. I have also learned How to think and not just what to think.

For a long time I thought I was the wrong make up for Network Marketing. I had met many "Big Hitters" and wondered if I could ever do what they do. Don't get me wrong. I am not a wallflower.
I have been selling cars for 27 years and I may not always be the top salesperson in my store I have been at the top many times and can run with the big dogs on any day! But I did not, still don't, look at network marketing as a sales job. I look at selling cars as a job helping people find what they want. I don't worry that they will call me in the morning and say I made a mistake and you talked me into something that I cannot afford. I feel the same about Network Marketing. I do not want to put anyone in a "corner" where unless they say yes they will look and sound like a loser! But my previous runs at Networking led me to beleive that is how it is done. Then I found the Book that turned the way I view our industry around. It helped me and can help you!

Do You Believe that Thought Waves can travel to Receptive Minds?

I have read that people can send telepathic thoughts to other people but was always skeptical.
Some kind of magic trick I would think. That is stuff for carnivals and tv shows but not real life.
Well the other night I was proved wrong.

I was on a coaching call with several people and witnessed people sending thoughts through the air to receptive minds. Six or seven people were given a secret web page to look at a picture.
When instructed they stared at and concentrated on the picture. Then the rest of the people on the call were instructed to close thier eyes and concentrate on what the viewers were looking at.
After a few minutes the Moderator opened up the lines and asked the non-viewers what they saw? The color Blue came up over and over. Then someone said they saw clouds. Then someone saw a light bulb. Then some one saw blue with a little yellow at the top and the letter S.
It was amazing what was happening. The colors, the shape, the letter. Then everyone was given the site to see the photo.

A Blue border with a picture of a Hot Air Balloon. The word SOAR written over the picture on the border. The balloon was mostly blue but had a yellow stripe across the top.

Believe it or not. It Happened! It is real. What will happen to your business if you send positive thoughts to your team members? And what if they have positive thoughts back to you and to all the rest of the team, will magic happen? Or is it the power God has given us taking over?

With every thing that is going on in the world, it's a wonder that we get anything done. Have you ever found yourself glued to the TV? I mean watching the news where it just keeps going over and over the same old story, but from a slightly different angle? And your just hoping to get a little better feel for the story? Have you ever rushed home and hurried through dinner so you would not miss your favorite TV show? Or eat in front of the TV? I am a big sports fan and love the Chicago teams so I have been guilty of watching a game instead of doing a chore. How is it to start the day without the paper and your coffee? The news, the sporting events, or the favorite shows, do the improve or add to the quality of our lives?

I think not. In fact I have turned the TV OFF! I do not read the newspaper. Do not listen to the radio (pandora radio only). I have decided to block any Negative from my life! I read a chapter of the book Think and Grow Rich each week. After I read the chapter a few times I put my thoughts about what I have read in an e-mail and send them to my good friends. They are reading the same chapter as me and so they will be able to give me positive feed back on my thoughts. All of our ideas are shared and our minds are expanded. We are growing. We are enriching our lives!

I do not miss all the negative that was transmitted out of the boob tube into my brain! I do not miss all the stuff that is in the newspapers either. When I am at work and someone starts to talk negative I Speak up and say something like "Lets keep it positive!" or I walk away. I do not have room in my mind for the Negative. I know that I am far from perfect! But I am working to improve who I am!

Another HUGE benefit of this 30 day Mental Cleanse is that my mind is no longer cluttered and scattered like the headline. I can focus and accomplish what I need to do. I get my chores done and can concentrate on what is important and the things that Will improve the Quality of my life!

Why I Love My Father!

One reason Why I love My Father!

As a child growing up my Father was involved in our lives. There are seven of us, 4 boys and 3 girls! My Mother and Father were they greatest parents a person could have! How lucky I was.
Yeah I know there were times when I thought they were mean and just didn't have my best interest in mind. Why couldn't I go out and party all night long? Everybody else can.
I am sure we all have those stories, and until the statute of limitations expires they will remain buried deep.

Back to my Father. He was in advertising and had to travel all over the midwest to earn business. He was very good at what he did. He raised all seven of us and we never lacked anything. Don't misinterpet lack with want. My parents knew what we needed and provided it. What we wanted was open for discussion. Were we spoiled? Probably. Did we appreciate what we had? Yes!
The things that we were given were not given to appease us or occupy us. They were given with Love. But the most important gift my Father gave each of us was his Time! He was in business for himself supporting All uf us and my Mother. He was also a volunteer in several organizations.

Time. My father gave each of us his time. If we had a game, he might not make all of them, but he made many of them! He treated us all the same, but also understood our differences and catered to them. He would drive all over the midwest to visit different companies for his business.
He would also take us with during the summer. We would have the run of the Hotels (they probably cringed when he made reservations) while he made his sales calls. In the morning we would get to eat breakfast in the hotel restaurant. How cool we thought that was! And at night we would again get to visit another restaurant. Then we would swim, after the obligitory 1/2 hour, until the pool closed. He would be in the pool with us. Usually three or four of us were on the road trip and my Mother was home with the babies. It wasn't a choore to my Dad, we were with him because he loved us. Unconditionally! As I grew up I tested my Father and Mother's Love but they just gave more of it. Tough or not I now know it was Love! One thing my Father and Mother always asked us to promise, "Remember that your family is the most important thing in your life". Always stick together and do not stay mad at each other. My Mother passed 10 years ago. We miss her, but know that she is in Heaven. My Father is still alive and I get to spend my Sundays with him. He will be 88 this year. What an awesome man he is! The statement he would say to us about always sticking together and loving each other. We are all great friends today! Thanks to my Mom and Dad!

There are many stories about my Family and Parents that I will share with you in the future but I was listening to one of my mentors talk last night and it got me thinking. So I shared some of those thoughts with you.

Compensation Plans! What is Yours?

Compensation Plans! What is yours? What are you looking for?

Personally I am looking for a plan that will pay me the most with the least amount of work. How about you? When you joined your company, if your in one, did you do the math? How many people do you need to have involve in your opportunity to make $100 a month? $500 a month?
$2000 a month? $5000 a month? How much do you need to become full time in your business?

I am talking about residual income, not money where if you sponsor someone you get a huge bonus. If you want to make big money for each sponor/sale then I can show you some other business opportunities that offer a greater reward. But you only get the reward when you make the sale. Then you start again. Residual is where you build it once and it continues to pay you.
